The VPN Client app is the VPN client for ctrlX OS, a software-based technology that establishes a secure (encrypted) connection to the VPN server. The app supports the standards OpenVPN and IPSec. The configuration for the VPN server is uploaded via the Web-UI. The establishment and status of a VPN connection can be controlled via the ctrlX Data Layer.
The VPN Client App is used for a secure (encrypted) data connection of a machine for data streaming of e.g. process data, as well as for the remote service of the machine.
